During white nightes season best artists from all over the world will meet in Saint-Petersburg again! New collections of artistic dolls and Teddy bears from Italy, Germany, USA, the Netherlands, Baltic countries, Canada, Belgium, Finland, Japan, from different regions and cities of Russia you can see in the exhibition hall of Saint-Petersburg Artist Union.

In June and December of 2008 great international exhibitions of artistic dolls and Teddy bears DOLL TIME №1 and DOLL TIME №2 were first successfully held in Saint-Petersburg. The exposition in ancient hall of historical building of Saint-Petersburg Artist Union was visited by tens of thousand viewers, the exhibition was advertised by all leading Mass Media of the city - TV, radio, magazines, newspapers, internet-portals. By the moment of preparing the third exhibition in Saint-Petersburg it is possible to say about target group for accepting this kind of art: collectors, gallery owners, museum stuff, viewers who have an idea about artistic dolls, Mass Media, critics and art critics. Not target audience which is not intertested in professional knoweledge and needs in the area of doll art is expected to have a fantastic holiday and acquaintance with brilliant works from all over the world.

DOLL TIME №3 presents the following projects, themes and expositions:

- VID -Very important doll – Natasha Pobedina composition devoted to Peter I and his family that had been created for 6 years

- Personal exhibition of Saint-Petersburg artist Alexander Zinchenko «Four by four». Nose, Ear, Finger, Eye – in Saint-Petersburg streets.

- «New doll Holand» - man-made doll island in the center of Saint-Petersburg. Supported by the Netherlands Consulate-General in St.Petersburg

- Perfomances «Gifts for Peter I» and «Anti-Peter»

- Photoproject by Irina Myzina (Wachtanoff doll gallery) and Vladimir Pomogaev «Black and white dreams»

– The Second educational forum for doll-artists and Teddy bear-makers: master-classes for everyone who is interested in variuos technics of doll and Teddy bear making.

- Russian premiere - hinge dolls by Canadian artist Marina Bychkova will be exhibited in Saint-Petersburg for the first time.

- Artistic album "Dolls in Petercreation", created as a result of photoopen-air in Saint-Petersburg streets, includes photos of dolls and Teddy bears with elements of city landscape, architectural details of Saint-Petersburg, symbols and sights of North capital. Artists tried to join their works with architectural interiors of the city, by this way being beyond habitual acceptance and way of presentation of a doll. And fantastic city appeared in a new image when dolls apeared in its interiors with their complecated energy and particular aura.

Twice a year – in June and December – a magnificent DOLL TIME comes to Saint-Petersburg – International exhibition of artistic dolls and Teddy bears is held here.

During 4 days all who wish can discover a huge doll world: antique and modern, classical and vanguard, shocking and lovely, hinge, textile, porcelain, huge and tiny, houses and palaces for dolls, and accessories, materials, special literature.

Best artists from different world countries are aiming at Russia – the country where artistic doll got a status of independent kind of art but not lady’s hobby or craft. In Russia artistic doll is exhibited equally to sculpture, painting, graphic arts and installation in best museums and exhibition halls.

We are talking not about child’s toys but about serious subjects for collecting and objects of imagination, mastery and inspiration of artists of the highest class.

We are the contemporaries of formation of this new kind of art – artistic doll art. There are kinds of art where almost everything was said for the centuries of their existence, doll today is a field for boundless experiment, it is an opportunity of new ups and discoveries, it is an object of colossal emotional impact on a viewer.

Doll world is a huge empire, where auctions are held, special magazines are published: in Russia it is “Doll Master” and “Doll World”, every year new collections are presented, masterpieces are created, “stars” on doll sky appear.

Russian Doll school is appreciated and loved in the whole world for the highest emotional and artistic content, for the high level of mastery, talent and figurativeness that was put by Russian artists and collectors.

«Only a brave person can present a doll, - exhibition organizers consider, - To present a doll means to accept that something kind and defenseless is kept inside you and to share this feeling with others».

The warmth of artist’s hands, exclusive work and unique types that distinguish dolls and bears and will be presented on the exhibition, probably, in many ways explain the secret of unique popularity of doll art in the world. The viewer can try themselves to open the secret of colossal success of artistic dolls visiting our exhibition. And if you can’t do it at the first time – you can try to make a doll or Teddy bear on the first educational forum in the exhibition, or to buy the works you liked for yourself or your friends and relatives as a present: the exhibition is hold on the eve of New Year and Christmas holidays – happiness, astonishment, delight from such gift are guaranteed!
